Eventful October

October has been an eventful month when it came to astronomical events! My favorite by far were the Northern Lights. Which I was able to see twice in one week! This started off as a faint glow each night, lasting for a few hours until out of nowhere the light blossomed overhead. Both times were different but still spectacular. It almost looks like fog until your eyes have time to adjust and slowly start picking out colors and you can see the movement!

The Second event as the Comet. This is a once in a Lifetime seeing (80,000 years) but honestly wasn't nearly as cool as the Aurora given the fact this was just about a week after it happened. Never the less this was still a cool seeing!

The final event was the full moon. This was a cool opportunity to try and go for a unique shot so I went down town to capture the moon in front of the Madison Capitol statue. Overall I'm super happy with how the photos turned out. This was a unique challenge getting the framing with the constant shifting of the moon and trying to get the perfect angle!
